Roger S Clark's work stems from his interests, studies and travels to various parts of the UK and the Mediterranean. Colourful and active subjects appeal to him and this is captured through the themes of wildlife, landscapes, townscapes and seascapes in his work. He works fast and loosely to capture mood and action as well as fleeting lighting effects when using favoured mediums watercolour and acrylic. He also uses oil when painting works based upon the Mediterranean which best suits the climate and the Mediterranean sun. Clark's work is based upon his own personal interests which is something I want to do myself. I feel inspired to look more into landscapes and the way he uses watercolour and acrylic into my work.
